FOUND SYSTEM LOW ON CHARGE. LOCATED LEAK WITHIN EVAPORATOR COIL FINS. LEAK FREEZE WAS USED PREVIOUSLY BUT HAS NOT SEALED LEAK. BUILT ESTIMATE FOR WARRANTY COIL REPLACEMENT. SYSTEM IS 8 YEARS OLD, EVEN WITH WARRANTY COSTLY REPAIRS NOT RECOMMENDED. HANDED OVER TO FIELD SUPERVISOR TO PROVIDE SOLUTION.

Performed ESA. Homeowner extended ESA. Tech found a leak inside evaporator coil and compressor ohming out in the red. Unit is 17yrs old, homeowner is currently going through a family emergency and just wants a quote for a new system instead of part replacements. Spoke with Gina over the phone and will be contacting homeowner soon.

Performed routine maintenance per energy savings agreement. Upon arriving to the air handler, the tech discovered the insulation from the door had come off. Tech reattached insulation as best as possible and used duct tape to secure, hopefully preventing any future air flow challenges. No other issues were found at todays visit. Technician also replaced customer provided dehumidifier filter. Dehumidifier and is working properly at this time and draining off properly as well. No other challenges were present at todays visit. System is heating properly and holding a delta t of 20+ degrees

It was exciting to get my new Carrier heat pump installed by Jackson & Sons. Juan & Shane did the install and were an outstanding team demonstrating great competence, expertise and efficiency. Juan & Shane were both so friendly and courteous and took time to answer all of my questions and made the whole experience awesome. I am pleased with this new system already and I am confident that Jackson & Sons will keep it running perfectly for me.

My first experience with Jackson & Sons was awesome. So thankful I gave them a call. All personnel on the phone were courteous and very responsive. After quickly sending me an awesome technician Matthew, I also had the great experience of meeting his field supervisor Bryce who came & together they found the best solution for my heat pump issues. So looking forward to the installation of a great new Carrier heat pump. Bryce was so courteous and helpful. FOUND 60A HEAT STRIP BREAKER IN MAIN PANEL FAULTY. REPLACED BREAKER/INSTALLED SURGE PROTECTOR. INVESTED IN ESA (1) SYSTEM. MR. ROUSE (HOMEOWNER) AND ALLY AT RENTAL OFFICE BOTH APPROVED INVOICE VIA PHONE.

Tech found system cutting off in heat mode on low pressure switch due to being low on charge. Switched to cooling and confirmed high superheat, no subcooling, and low pressures. Leak searched system and confirmed indoor coil leaking. Jerry confirmed coil is still barely in warranty. Mandatory is on the way. Tech also found heat strips not running due to a faulty 60 amp breaker. Tech was able to reset breaker and get strips running, but breaker feels loose and tech hears sparking noise from behind breaker. Tech found 15uf blower capacitor reading 23% weak. Quoted regular price of $580.14 for breaker and blower capacitor. Customer approved housecall, MPA, and replacement of heat strip breaker and blower capacitor. Tech left system in emergency heat. Warranty coil price is 1973.37 including tax. Coil not currently available. Tech estimated system is 3-5 lbs low on R410a. 5 lbs with MPA discount is $482.03 including tax.

FOUND BOILER GAS VALVE STUCK OPEN CAUSING GAS SMELL. TANK WAS RECENTLY FILLED. GAS COMPANY STATED NO LEAKS PRESENT. EXTREMELY OLD BOILER SYSTEM/20 YEAR OLD STRAIGHT AC. HAD BRYCE ON SITE. NEW SYSTEM IS SOLD. PUT OUT CO2 DETECTOR AND SHUT GAS OFF AT TANK FOR TIME BEING.

Tech performed ESA on 2 systems. Tech found compressor capacitor testing weak at 32.56 rated for 35mfd+-5% so lower threshold would be 33.25, wife is going to talk with husband this evening and will probably hold off and see where it’s at in 6 months. Tech quoted $192.81 for replacing capacitor, system is under 10 year warranty. Tech found no other challenges or concerns with system/operations. Evaporator coil is decently rusted and downstairs system is 9 years old, no leak was found in system but homeowner is aware of rusted coils. Both systems are operating properly upon departure.

I woke to a cold house Saturday 1-30-21 and called Jackson and Son's around 7:00 am. They were very helpful and dispatched Mathew out to my house and he arrived around 11:00 am the same day! I knew Mathew from a previous visit too my residence. He was very professional, friendly and answered all my questions. He found the problem in a matter of minutes, explained what had happened and then replaced the defective switch and further did a systems check to make sure nothing else was amiss! Excellent Tech!!! My only gripe was I thought the switch was a little/ a lot pricey for a sensor switch the size of my thumb nail but if it doesn't work it doesn't work! Anyways great response time, excellent service as always. Did I mention the replacement part being a shocker? Lol, ya get what ya pay for!
