Jackson and Son specializes in professional, 100% guaranteed residential and commercial heating and air conditioning installation, maintenance tune-ups and repair services.
Your HVAC system, regardless of its kind, should be examined, cleaned, and serviced at minimum twice yearly. The heating system should be examined in the fall and the air conditioning system in the spring. Gas equipment should be cleaned and maintained once a year, at the start of each autumn.
The cost of replacing a whole HVAC unit ranges from $5,000 to $10,000, with a national average of $7,000. Prices are determined by the size and brand of the HVAC system, the total square footage of the dwelling, the length of the ductwork, and the efficiency rating of the new unit. Expect to pay between $1,500 to $12,500 for new installations. HVAC installation expenses generally range between $500 and $2,500 in labor costs. The entire cost is determined by the kind and state of the existing system. Retrofitting forced or central-air heating often costs more than replacing existing equipment.
A typical HVAC tune-up will consist of three fundamental stages: inspection, cleaning and servicing. Repairs may or may not be included in the service, depending on whether or not problems are discovered in the inspection.
The inspection phase is when the technician looks for signs of damage. In the instance of an air conditioner, they will inspect the drain pan, check refrigerant levels, and inspect other components. In the case of a heater, they will inspect the compressor, the motor, and any other components to verify they are in excellent working order.
The cleaning phase of the air conditioner should be included in every tune-up that includes the air conditioning system, furnace, or both. Even if you change the air filter on a regular basis, the expert will need to clean your system to keep it in good shape.
The HVAC service phase seeks to prevent your HVAC from any unforeseen and inconvenient breakdowns. If there are any issues with your air conditioning or heating system, our expert will fix them right away. This may entail changing old parts to prevent them from causing more damage.

Performed routine mail per energy savings agreement. Technician did not find any challenges in terms of system performance today. The unit is cooling properly with a delta t of 20 degrees. One recommendation the technician had was to install a hard start kit to help ease the strain on the compressor. Hard start kits lower starting amps and in turn increase the longevity of the compressor. Customer approved and part added.

[email protected] Performed HVAC system home inspection. System report filled out. 2002 System is cooling and heating. Straight A/C package unit, furnace with heat strip(only source of heat.). Tech Edith’s homeowner about heat pump package units as an upgrade to reduce high energy bills with the heat. Compressor checked on the Green( good) level as far as inner insulation reading. Amp draw on compressor needs to be monitored and recommended to have a tune up before the summer to rechecked the amp draws and cooling performance. Collected by check

Performed routine maintenance one 1 system per energy savings agreement. Technician did not find any challenges in terms of system performance today. System is operating normally and holding a delta t of 20 degrees. Recommendations - Technician would recommend installing an EZ trap and primary condensate safety switch on the air handler in the attic. The other recommendation would be to replace the contactor as the one currently in the condenser is emitting a buzzing noise (video provided). Customer will discuss with husband before moving forward with recommendations. Customer renewed PSA via card.

Rick 252-559-9530 Kitchen system: Blower was running, but outdoor unit was not. Thermostat was calling for cool, but Y tstat wire had no 24 volt call at outdoor unit. Tech turned off outdoor unit breaker which also shut off 24 volt power to thermostat. Turned breaker on and outdoor unit came on after time delay. Allowed system to run in cooling mode for ten minutes. Monitored refrigerant pressures without issue. Inspected low voltage wiring at thermostat baseplate, inside AHU low voltage terminal block, and at outdoor unit low voltage terminal block. Found no issues. Found 10uf outdoor fan capacitor reading 22% weak. Tech recommended replacing. Tech suspects Vision Pro dropped Y call to outdoor unit, but was not able to duplicate challenge after cycling outdoor breaker. Tech recommends replacing outdoor fan capacitor and thermostat. Rick approved repairs by phone. Tech installed and tested new fan capacitor and focus pro thermostat. Cycled system without issues. Back cooling
Joshua W.

Tech performed full service on 3 systems. Removed heavy leaf buildup from the units and scrubbed off the heavy mildew off the inside and outside of the units. Replaced all filters, rinsed/washed inside and outside coils. Cleaned burners and flame sensors. Delta T in heating and cooling are on specs. Tech recommended indoor air ionization (plasma airs) to improve indoor air quality inside the sanctuary (2 systems control this area), costumer requested an estimate for review and also for (2) 1/2 gas shut off valves to be replaced, small leaks have been found on the shut off valves for the middle system and the system close to the back entrance by the ramp. Another leak has been found at the main valve of the propane tank, pictures and videos on file. Costumer is going to call the gas company first and then reach out to us. Tech notified the customer that the gas is going to be shut off at the tank for now to prevent loosing gas. 6 Inch flex duct has insulation exposed, estimate of repair

Performed routine maintenance per energy savings agreement. Shortly after arriving the technician and customer discussed the findings of the previous visit. A leak was discovered in the evaporator coil. Customer stated they were saving money to afford system replacement, however, they were not in a financial position to move forward with either a repair or replacement. In addition to the evaporator coil challenge, the tech also discovered that the blower is running when set in auto and when there is no call for heat or cool. Technician did not find a call on the blower thermostat wire, leading the tech to believe the fan relay is getting stuck. Technician added replacement of relay to the estimate. Customer did not approve repair for reason stated earlier. Technician serviced unit as is. All electrical tested within spec and the tech swapped out (1) 20x25x1 filter. Another note not AC related, when the technician was entering the crawlspace, they noticed the expansion tank for the ho
