BUYER BEWARE! We are a small business and our A/C went out. We set up a appointment online and it was super easy. The guy showed up on time however had no clue what to do. He was expecting a residential unit and he had no experience with a business A/C unit. He called his manager and got direction, and ultimately said they need to send out a Commercial technician. We were told we had to pay $160 "call fee" for this guy to literally do NOTHING.A sales representative came by the next day to sell us us a maintenance package of $172 per unit. I asked if the $160 that we already paid could be transferred to the $172 they were asking to perform a full service check on the A/C unit. Since the guy that came did nothing and had no experience. After a week of awaiting a response, I called to follow up. They would only give us a $80 credit. I got the feeling they didn't want our business.I don't feel it is ethical for a company to send out a technician that is NOT experienced in the work needed to be done. Then on top of that to charge a "Call Fee" knowing they sent someone not trained to solve the problem. This feels scammy and unethical. We gave them a chance to do the right thing, they declined. We called them due to the great reviews. I would say BUYER BEWARE when calling them.

We called and had a service tech come out because our lawn guys punctured the condenser coil with a nail. Tech said he would give us an estimate to replace coils. We did realize this was on a Saturday and may take until the next week. They send an estimate of about $6,000, with that it was just the price no breakdown of labor costs or part cost. I called on Monday to clarify estimate and the lady was rude and short when I explained that at $6,000 it would be cheaper to just replace the whole unit. She said so you’re not going to do the work and I said No. she then hung up. No other estimate or questions asked. They obviously didn’t want to have our business.

Took 3 days to show up. Did not even look at the units but because there was no one to open an inside door said he couldn't do anything. Both units are outside and again he didn’t even touch them. A different tech came the next Monday late and did nothing. Said a unit needed cleaning but someone else would have to come in a week. Said the other unit was not working because of a breaker inside. Both techs had a sour attitude. Had an electrician come that night and he asked what fly by night we had checking our units. It was not the breaker at all. He even replaced it to prove it. We called another reputable HVAC service who came same day, got one unit going and ordered the part for the second unit. Basically I just paid Jackson and Sons $300 for someone to stand around and do nothing.

We have top of the line Trane system yet almost everytime they service the units at least one will throw a code and stop working. It is just seems like the 600+ that i pay for maintenance every year would make it so this does not happen. The units are less than 5 years old. Just disappointed 😞 Not sure that I want to keep paying that kind of money for poor service. I now have to wait until mid day the next day to have someone look at the issue. It was 830 when I noticed the unit was offline and not working. I called and someone would have come out but he was 1 hour away. Again I just expect more for the amount we pay for the maintenance agreement. It is also not encouraging when the guy on the phone says "yeah we seem to be having to follow behind our technicians quite a bit" not a good comment. Hopefully the issue is resolved tomorrow and I can leave a more positive review.Edit: i had made an appointment for today so a technician could see why the upstairs unit was not cooling efficiently since the service was done. I missed a call from Jackson and Sons since I was in a meeting all afternoon. Since I did not answer to confirm a technician was not sent to the house. I was never told that I needed to confirm the appointment the day of. Is this new policy since last time I got an email, phone call and text message that a technician was on his way and I did not respond to any of them but he still showed up on time. Why do I make an appointment if you are not going to show up. Now have to take more time off of work to accommodate them. Very poor customer service. I have been with Jackson and Sons with my old house and now this house(10+ years) but sadly will be looking elsewhere for service. This was an issue before this heat wave but it seems that bigger more profitable jobs take precedent over returning customers. Hopefully they will make this right but again losing confidence in their ability very quickly. I will follow up with what happens.
