Upon arrival tech found condenser not running due to failed capacitor. Tech replaced with Turbo capacitor after approval, tested system. Amp draws and delta t are within spec, system is back up and cooling. Customer invested in ESA, would like first visit scheduled. Collected $852.95 by card.

Upon arrival tech found blower and od fan running but compressor was tripped out on internal overload. Tech ran water over compressor until it was cooled down. Compressor was making a lot of noise and suction pressure was reading very high indicating seals in compressor were bleeding. After a few mins of running compressor noise would get even worse until it would trip out. Tech recommends replacement of system due to leak in coil found at last visit and the current condition of compressor. Office will need to reach out Monday for field supervisor to come out. Breakers were left off inside system and at disconnect.

Tech found the system operating upon arrival. Checked the capacitors, ductwork, amp draws, and refrigerant pressures. Tech cycled the power twice and the system operated without challenges. Motors and compressor operated. Delta T of 18 degrees. 2005 R22 system.tech was unable to diagnose a faulty/failed component in the system due to not catching any abnormalities other than the high suction pressure, it is 85+ degrees inside the home, reason for the high suction pressure at this time, the return line is free of any obstructions. Tech operated the system for 20 minutes prior to departure and still operated properly. Tech did ask the costumer to call us back if any challenge Rises, an intermittent challenge could be present. Costumer did ask for a system replacement quote to have an idea on what they may be looking into in case they decide to go ahead and replace it.

Tech found internal breaker for Lennox AHU in crawlspace to be failed. Only passing 120 volts and corroded in place. Non fused AHU disconnect in crawlspace is fed from 35 amp breaker in main panel. AHU has 5kw heat kit. Customer approved split bolts. Waived E&S fee due to borrowing customers electric tape (ran out earlier in the day). No housecall per Premium agreement. System is back cooling.

Upon arrival tech found high pressure switch open, tech bypassed switch and ran system to check pressures. Upon startup tech found system running in heat mode and found pressure exceed 500 almost immediately. Reversing valve solenoid was not energizing, found hot wire for solenoid losing 24v between call and supply at board. Tech placed jumper from orange wire to solenoid bypassing defrost board and valve energized. Ran system with valve energized and head pressure came down to about 460. Suction pressure within spec, head pressure is still high due to clogged condensing coil. Airflow from condenser fan confirms clogged coil. Tech was unable to get high pressure switch reset, pressure switch is also failed. Tech did not bypass pressure switch due to already high pressures at dirty system and safety reasons. Will need jet pack or hose reel to be able to clean coil. This system needs to be replaced, tech highly recommends replacing system over repairing board and pressure switch. Inform

Customer reported 90 amp FPE breaker for heat pump in hallway tripping recently. Tech found system not cooling due to a failed dual run capacitor. Tech also found indoor coil clogged with pink insulation. Also the flex duct return is more than halfway kinked around the foundation bricks between the rain hood and unit, restricting about half of the indoor airflow. Tech recommends a miscellaneous job to remove the rain hood and flex duct, remove about 2x4 feet of bricks from foundation wall under rain hood, and reinstall flex duct and rain hood so airflow is not restricted. Tech inspected duct system and found two return lines are in poor condition. 14” flex runs 10 feet from return boot to Y fitting. The other 14” return is not hung up at all and runs the length of the house about 45 feet along the ground. 18” flex runs about 10 feet from Y fitting to unit. All ductwork is intact, but is in poor condition and returns are not hung up. Tech recommends replacing ductwork due to poor con

Found the condenser fan blade not operating due to it being caught up to a wire and not allowing it to spin. 2 of the The fan motor nuts were loose and 2 were completely off. Tech re-secured the wires and tightened the Nuts and tested cooling afterwards. System is back cooling. Install warranty.

Upon arrival tech found thermostat blank, tech found failed light switch. Tech was informed to straight wire line voltage. After tech wired line voltage, unit still was not getting power. Tech believes there might be a brake in line voltage wire. Tech spoke with on call manager and was informed that we will send another tech out tomorrow morning.

Upon arrival tech was informed system was not keeping up, thermostat set at 72 and reading 74 for the last few hours. Tech found subcool reading 0-1 degrees. Informed homeowner system is likely to have leak. Homeowner wanted to wait on performing leak search and just add Freon for now. Tech added 1lb and 6oz of R410A and achieved a 10.5 degree subcool. System is back operational at this time.

Tech found water dripping and drain pan filled. Tech was able to clear drain line and water started to drain properly. Tech found left side of head not secured properly on wall clip causing a slight dip on the left side causing unit not to drain properly as well tech attached left side of head to bracket. Tech Aldo found orange water dripping from mini split line set that is not taped up properly. Will require 2 techs to remove head and tape up properly due to where head is located. System is drain properly at this time.

Upon arrival tech began replacing R22 Compressor. Tech pressure tested to 350psi and pulled vacuum on system. Charged system with factory charge of 8lbs and 8oz of R22. Upon start up system began building high head pressure until it eventually would cut out. Tech inspected ductwork and air flow. Adjusted fan speed to high. Evaporator coil had built up grease and had dirty filters. Tech sprayed coil with cleaner and brushed it and Replaced filter's. Tech also had to spray condenser coil with water and coil cleaner to get pressures back down. System is due for a cleaning with higher water pressure than what was available. System is back operational at this time. Tech also found the line for sensing bulb for outdoor TXV broken require it TXV to be replaced for proper heating applications. Will only have heat strips for now.

Performed ESA, tech found outdoor fan motor over amping and very hot to the touch. System is brand new, office is to schedule fan motor replacement Monday. Tech did not have the rig he fan motor on van. No other issues at todays visit.

Tech found proper airflow, normal head very low suction, high superheat and high subcooling with a TXV . This indicates a restriction. Tech checked temperature before filter drier and directly before TXV and found less than 2 degrees difference indicating the restriction is at the TXV. Tech found signs around TXV bulb that the bulb is leaking and has lost its charge. Tech also recommended a maintenance plan. Customer agreed to 1 time per year plan. Tech recommends leaving system off to prevent compressor damage.
