— Customer states system seemed to be blowing cold air when setting to heat mode this morning. Typically uses propane heaters overnight. Suspect system may have been on defrost mode and may be having challenges with heat strips operating. — Presented customer with estimate to perform System Performance Inspection. Customer approves proceeding with Testing/Inspection. — Found return temperature of 70-71 at outdoor unit, and supply temperature of 84-85. Temperature difference seems low from expected. System refrigerant pressures 90 low 325 high. Customer stated a different company has done refrigerant repairs in the recent past. Pressures seem to be a little low, provided estimate to customer to add up to 2 lb of refrigerant and recheck pressures and temperatures. Customer approved up to 2 lb. — System now providing temperature difference of 17 degrees. Added approximately 1.6 lb R410A. No house call fee per premium customer. No operation testing fee per recent maintenance.

Tech arrived to change out breaker. Upon removal of breaker tech found that breaker and panel had multiple melted pieces and burned spots. Tech spoke with Adam and informed that customer would need electrician, Adam is calling Wayne electric on our behalf, customer is aware that there will be a payment needed to Wayne electric for work performed and that he will not have heat through the weekend. System is down at this time.

Tech serviced and cleaned unit. Tech found blower to have excessive bacteria build up. Tech pulled and cleaned. Tech recommends plasma air. Customer declined. Tech also found evaporator coil to be severely rusted. Tech did a detailed leak search and could not find a consistent leak. Unit is heating and cooling efficiently.

— Maintenance tech stated Trane unit was freezing up at condenser coil during first maintenance. States system had no air filter, air was leaking into return at duct, and blower motor was excessively dirty. — Customer expressed concern that condenser coil was freezing with outdoor temperatures above freezing. Requested Service Tech to verify air flow and refrigerant levels. — Cleaner blower compartment. Removed blower assembly to thoroughly clean blower wheel. — Found operating pressures in acceptable range in heat mode. Manually forced defrost more. Defrost mode worked correctly. Found coil temperature sensor out of place, not allowing defrost board to properly engage defrost mode when needed. Resecured sensor as needed. — Maintenance technician had observed compressor side of turbo capacitor tested weak. Confirmed findings and provided customer with estimate for replacement. Customer approved turbo capacitor. — Not billing for house call due to maintenance visit.

Found a bad 60 amp air handler breaker ( feed thru style). Tech provided the option to replace the breaker or remove it and install split bolts. Customer requested an estimate on replacing the 60amp breaker inside the airhandler instead of installing split bolts. We would need to price out the breaker and provide it to Mr. Lamar. No house call due to resent visit.

Tech washed and serviced unit customer informed tech of having a breaker to periodically trip. The breaker is in the main panel inside the home 30amp 2 pole tech does not have any concerns with the system and found the breaker to be older and having a slight buzz. Customer spoke with Adam and got approval to have it changed out will have tech come by to swap it out. Unit is up and heating properly at this time. Customer extended esa 1 sys 2 times a year.

Found no mechanical challenges at this time, However, the customer was concerned about the thermostat not holding correct temperature. Tech recommended to upgrade the thermostat due to having the buttons not move the temperature unless it is pressed hard. Tested system in heat mode and defrost cycle. Customer also invested in MPA(monthly maintenance agreement). Tech educated the homeowner on the operating of the thermostat.
