Tech found unit would shut off when aux heat would engage tech found 2 pole 40 amp contactor was shorted causing unit to disengage and turn off once contactor would pull in tech quoted out for repair $255.47 customer approved tech replaced contactor unit started up no issues and would engage aux heat no issue

Upon inspection tech found evaporator coil of upstairs system leaking in attic. Most of drain pan was covered in oil film from refrigerant as well as refrigerant lines had signs of oil film. Tech verified leaks with leak detector. Condensing unit compressor megged bad on all three windings. Tech also found indoor blower run cap testing weak. System is in bad shape, 30 years old. Field supervisor came out to determine best solution. Tech continued maintenance on downstairs system and found no challenges. Need to come back by when in the area to drop off a 14x24x1 and a 20x20x1.

Estimate to move condenser to roof. Mini split #6 Estimate to move AH to south wall by door.

Tech was anbe to get entry into apartment tech found indoor coil frozen and found the compressor frozen as well tech pulled disconnect off of unit to ensure compressor would not engage and unit defrost will need to come back to check pressures at a later date

Tech is not picked up a smell upon arrival. Has 2 split systems for upstairs, tech Removed blower housings to inspect that nothing was trapped with it the heat strips or duct that would cause an abnormal smell. Return side of the evaporator coils are cleared, no obstructions where found. Tech picked up a scent of refrigerant from one of the systems at the evaporator coil with the electronic leak detector(system that operates the left side upstairs). Leak is not big enough to cause an ammonia/abnormal smell. Tech noticed some of the ceiling tiles were knocked out of place and suspects that the smell could possibly be coming from the attic, tiles were recently knocked out of place and is the first time the costumer has had an odor challenge. Tech sprayed deodorizer on both systems to neutralize any odors. Tech did inform costumer that if the smell comes back throughout the day, to immediately call us back. Business is closed and No CMA was recommended.

Customer stated the thermostat was blank. Tech found low voltage fuse blown. Inspection found wire the low pressure switch was chafed and shorted to sensing bulb of TXV. Tech repaired and secured the wire, replaced the fuse and system is back up. Warranty
