Upstairs system. Found a copper line twisted inside the condenser at the discharge line that is leaking due to a crack within the twisted section. Video and pictures on file. Tech recovered the R410a refrigerant, cut out the twisted section of the copper, brazed in a 90 degree coupling while flowing nitrogen, replaced the filter dryer, pressure tested, and pulled a vacuum below 500 microns. Charged system with 8lbs of R 410a(factory charge). Delta T of 22 degrees. Johnathan is aware of the repairs and cost. System is back up and cooling.

Customer called about an odor in the dining area after unit was serviced. John showed tech around to the air handlers in the attic and a room that is being remodeled. While in room tech smelt a strong smell and found new PVC drains that had been worked on today. There was a large purple stain on some old carpet from the PVC primer being split. Residents confirmed that was the smell. One air handler has its secondary and primary drains mixed up. Systems are working correctly at this time.

Upon arrival customer stated kitchen/back room system, main area, and dining area systems were not cooling. Upon inspection tech found system number 5 as well as system number 1 with blown dual run 30/5MFD capacitors at condensing units. Tech replaced both capacitors and tested. Refrigerant pressures are within spec on both systems. Tech found system number 4 low on refrigerant. Tech added 3lbs of R410a to get refrigerant pressures within spec. All three systems are back up and cooling properly. Recommend having systems serviced and changing filters inside. Discounted price on repairs per office.

Upstairs bedrooms system. Found a dual run capacitor wire burnt off and the capacitor inflated, the herm terminal side of the capacitor. Checked pressures and noticed that superheat was off range, tech had to unscrew the return duct to have access to the return side of the evaporator coil, and found it to be clogged with lint, no filter was found at the return grill. Tech was approved by Jonathan to clean the evaporator coil and the repairs for the outdoor system. After performing the repairs, delta T went from. 12 to 20, pressures are within range as of now, however, there is indications of refrigerant repairs that were performed before and found the discharge line at the compressor partially twisted. Tech did inform that a potential leak could occur throughout the system due to improper refrigerant repairs performed. Pictures are on file of the findings. Rebecca signed invoice. System is cooling as of now.

Upon arrival I found no power going to the outdoor unit. I checked disconnect box and found the disconnect breaker bypassed and the power wiring connected to the line wire. The breaker at the main outside panel was turned off. I tested the disconnect breaker and found that it was faulty. The customer stated the company that installed this system said that the diffuser was bad. I believe they were referring to the disconnect. New disconnect box is needed. Customer approved repairs. Customer denied ESA
