Tech found system running heat due to a broken reversing valve spade connection. Tech repaired connection and recommend ESA agreement. Reversing valve is now changing over to cooling mode. Customer declined maintenance agreement.

Tech performed ESA on 2 systems, tech added union to drain line for air handler tech also found trap was not glued. Tech glued in trap no further issues at this time, tech informed customer that upstairs system is mixed match with 2013 American standard air handler and 2020 Goodman condenser. Customer didn’t want to renew ESA for downstairs or get on plan for upstairs, tech informed customer of all options. Customer stated he will call one a year to get done tech informed customer of 1 year 1 visit plan and informed customer that it would be cheaper to get on plan and take advantage of benefits customer didn’t want to do at this time.

Tech found both compressor capacitors testing weak, one at 35 mfd rated for 40 mfd and the other at 36 mfd rated for 40 mfd. tech recommended replacement, homeowner declined today. Tech built estimate for repairs. Tech found no other challenges or concerns with system/operations. Both systems are operating properly upon departure. Homeowner did not renew ESA contract today, he is moving to Arizona.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found unit was starting to short cycle when started service after cutting power for service unit came back on and starting running properly tech called office to have demand tech step out and make sure unit is running properly.tech tried calling home owner for renewal tech go no answer number has been disconnected.

Tech performed ESA on 1 system. Tech found heat strip contactor wire charred and burnt off. Tech repaired wiring and verified proper function of heat strips. Tech also found compressor megohming green-yellow, between good and caution, older model hard start kit is already on system. Cool decently rusted, no leaks detected. Tech found outdoor fan motor capacitor testing weak at 3.04 rated for 5 mfd. tech found no other challenges or concerns with system/operations. To improve maximum efficiency and longevity of system life, tech had a few recommendations/suggestions. Tech would go ahead and replace compressor/outdoor fan motor capacitor before it gets too weak to power outdoor fan motor on. Tech would also recommend having new updated hard start kit installed to prolong compressor life span. Last recommendation would be to replace the heat strip contactor due to it being dark and pitted on contacts which could cause them to stick in power on or power off. System is operating properly up

Customer stated every now and again system will still run continuously after reaching heat set point and will not stop heating unless breaker is turned off. Tech ran system and found it to be shutting off after reaching set point properly at this time. Tech tested heat sequencer and found no issue. Found no issues with thermostat wire. Blower speed is correct, sequencer not getting stuck at this time. Tech quoted $369.16 for thermostat replacement as thermostat may have an intermittent issue. Customer would like to wait and see how system does. No charge per office.
