Tech arrived and started maintenance checks, tech found compressor megging in caution, evaporator coil showing heavy rust and corrosion and heat exchanger has heavy rust lines, tech informed customer of condition of unit and recommended replacement of system. Tech spoke with office to give updated pricing from previous quote. Customer wants to hold off on completion of maintenance until final decision has been made on unit.

Tech informed homeowner that compressor was reading in the low green at 150 when mega ohming it. Tech informed homeowner that unit is now in that 10 year window and is getting up in age. Homeowner renewed 1x/yr ESA visit at 211.37 via VISA. System is operating properly at this time.

Tech informed homeowner and homeowner stated they would wait on repair. Tech replaced one 14 x 30 x 1 and one 20 x 20 x 1 filter. Homeowner renewed one system PSA at $372.56 via visa. System is operating properly at this time. Homeowner would like a number ending in 1731 removed.

Tech was informed of vibrations of The a/h tech inspected system and found a mice in the blower wheel causing a unbalance of the wheel causing it to vibrate. Tech quoted out minor repair and got approval and removed the mice from the wheel installed the housing back secured and cycled blower system is operating properly at this time

Tech confirmed compressor and accumulator are securely bolted to frame. Started compressor several times in heat mode and defrost. Tech found no unusual noises. Compressor starting noise is sounding normal. Tech recorded several videos of sound.

(UPSTAIRS) FOUND SIGNS OF MOISTURE ISSUES WITHIN MULTIPLE AREAS IN CEILING. NO ISSUES WITH DRAINAGE OR OBVIOUS CONDENSATION FOUND AT THIS TIME. EXTREMELY OLD METAL DUCT SYSTEM HAS COLLAPSED FROM BRACKETS, AND SEEMS TO BE CAUSING MOISTURE CHALLENGES. DUCT SYSTEM NEEDS REPLACEMENT. HANDED OVER TO MIKE. ATTIC INSULATION IS IN POOR SHAPE AS WELL.
