Tech found no issues with blower motor recently replaced. Tech found tripped 60 amp FPE breaker inside main panel for AHU. Tech allowed blower and heat strips to run continuously for ten minutes. After ten minutes, FPE breaker tripped. Tech recommends licensed electrician replace breaker and also look at older FPE panel and building wiring. Tech also checked outdoor unit and found failed 1/6 hp 825 rpm outdoor fan motor. See video. As tech checked outdoor unit, air handler 60 amp air handler breaker tripped again. Tech leak searched indoor unit and found no leaks. System is 14 years old. Will have office follow up on repair vs replace. System is down. Needs electrician to replace breaker in main panel and fan motor replacement. Unable to record refrigerant pressures without working fan motor. Due to age and condition, tech recommends customer consider system replacement. Replaced blower yesterday and fuse link/relay a few weeks ago.

Tech performed ptu on miller split system. As tech was performing service, found 35/5mfd capacitor to be reading below specification. Replaced dual run capacitor after customers approval. Customer invested in maintenance plan. Customer did use 1 of his maintenance visits for today. Customer also requested tech to come back for all future maintenances. Delta t is within specification and customer is satisfied with todays service. Found no other challenges at todays visit.

Upon arrival tech was informed system was freezing up the night prior and would not go into defrost and stay in frost. Inspected system and found it would start freezing up directly after outdoor TXV and feeder tubes after about 2 minutes of running. Tech forced defrost and system did change over and thaw and then switch back to heating operation. Tech checked ohm resistance on coil temperature sensor and found it was reading off from what coil temperature actually was. Will need to return to replace Trane coil temp sensor. Tech checked delta T for system and found it to be low at 11.7 degrees. Heat pump supply temperature was reading around 83 degrees. Tech recommends when installing sensor to perform leak search to ensure no leak is found.

Upon arrival, customer stated would like to reschedule maintenance service due to weather. Customer did agree for us to come back Thursday the 13th of February. Tech did check ductwork and dehumidifier as well as change (2) 16x20x1 filter and checked delta t. Customer is satisfied with todays visit and delta t is within specification at this time. Tech found 60 amp cutler and hammer breaker for AHU 2 tripped. 12.5uf blower capacitor for 1/2hp 1075 blower is reading 13.06uf. Blower and heat strips are pulling 43.6 amps with blower door closed. Blower only with door closed is pulling 3.08 amps. Tech allowed heat strips and blower to run while checking other unit. Breaker did not trip again, but when I returned to check it, breaker is getting very hot. Tech recommends replacing breaker. Tech found on outdoor unit 2 the 50uf side of 50/7.5 dual capacitor failed and 7.5uf reading borderline. Replaced for testing purposes. 20 year old R22 split system is operating, but shows signs of age. Compressor is pulling 24.2 amps and is rated at 25.9. Tech recommends replacing capacitor and getting quote to replace 20 year old split system #2. Tech found AHU 3 not heating due to vision pro thermostat being programmed for conventional forced air. Tech found thermostat not reading true temperature in home but keeping what it’s set too, unit operation is good and all is working, recommend replacing thermostat to have more accurate temperatures. Customer stated they’re going to wait until spring to see how everything works when it gets in the warmer temperatures and call us back.

Tech arrived and found condenser fan motor locked up and tech got motor unstuck, within 10 seconds motor seized again. Tech built estimate for replacement and customer stated they would like to think on it. Customer paid with cash and will come to office to collect change.

Air Handler is located roughly 10-12 feet from area, main trunk line is roughly 2-3 feet beside it with no branch lines near area.
