AH #3 blower motor is rated for 2.9 amps and is pulling 3.11 amps. Recommend replacing motor. Tech returned to replace blower motor. System back operational. Tech also repaired range vent pipe that fell down in attic and recheck system 8 blower amps. Blower was still reading within specs.

Tech found a leaking evaporator coil on a 15 year old system. System lacks maintenance. Tech also found a low fan capacitor and over amping condenser fan motor indicating motor failure. If customer wants to recharge system, ESA is required to clean coils, accurate system charge is not obtainable without proper airflow across coils. Tech recommends replacing unit due to age and condition. Quoted 3638 for coil replacement and 298 for ESA.

Tech performed ESA, tech found excessive amounts of bacterial growth and dust/debris in unit. Tech recommended addition of plasma to system to prevent issues from occurring in future, customer approved. Tech installed plasma and finished maintenance. No other issues found at todays visit. System is back on and operating properly at this time.

Upon arrival tech reinspected GF #5 and found blower motor was in fact running with no issues. Was informed GF #8 was having blower issues as well. Inspected and found system operational. Inspected CU #3 and did not find compressor contactor arcing like previous invoice stated but did find 1/2hp 900rpm blower motor over amping. It’s rated at 2.9amps and was pulling 3.11amps. Customer wants to go ahead and order replacement motor. GP #9 is system located on separate house and was recently replaced in February.

Upon arrival tech was informed heat was not coming on. Tech inspected system and would come on but cycle off and give a 4 flash fault code which is Thermal Cut Out. Tech inspected blower settings and were set on high. Tech found return under the house was 16” flex but when it went through the wall into the attic reduced to 14” flex. Static pressures were 1.06 on the return and .06 on the supply. Tech believes the return reducing in size is creating insufficient airflow and causing system to cycle

Tech arrived and found system did not work in heat, tech found inducer motor locked up and limit burnt up. Tech also found hole in heat exchanger. Tech informed customer of all issues and customer said not to clean it and to call in field supervisor for quote. Tech called and Caleb is taking over the call. System is back on and operating properly in ac. Tech disabled heat. Mail hardcopy to customers address.

Tech performed ESA, tech found condenser would not run in heat and would cut out in ac. Tech found system low on refrigerant and found schrader valve to be leaking. Tech replaced schrader valve but could not charge up due to hoses on gauges blew out. Derek is on site charging system up now.

The serviceman was very efficient and knowledgeable, but I had to bite my tongue when he told me he was charging me $200,00 for a $20.00 capacitor. I have been in the industrial service business for many years and know the cost of parts and realize you have a lot of overhead but marking a part up this muck? I needed my unit fixed so you could have charged me $300.00.
