During this cold winter my heat seemed to be staying on longer than usual, so I just wanted it checked out to make sure there wasn’t an issue. Jacob came out and looked over the system, and everything was fine. Jacob was very punctual, courteous, quick, and helpful giving me tips that might reduce the running time. I also appreciated his wearing a mask without being asked. I was very pleased with the entire visit!

Jason came to our home today to perform a routine service. Jason diagnosed wear and tear issues with the heating components of our gas pack unit and explained, in detail, the cause and remedy for repairing it. He secured pricing for us so we could make a decision on repairing the unit. He then proceeded to perform the cleaning, which was amazing. Taking out the blower fan and cleaning it and the housing, along with the condensing coils among other items. He them washed the exterior of the unit, came in to discuss what he completed. In all of the years we have had work performed on our units with Jackson & Sons, there was been no finer employee than Jason. His manners, attitude and work product should be applauded and celebrated at your company. If he is the face of your service team, then Jackson & Sons will continue to be the leader in HVAC systems. Customer extended PSA for one year two visits, tech collected $308.51 by check.
Cleaned system thoroughly, collector box had soot and blower was full of dirt. Tech cleaned collector box and vacuum came loose and put soot in hallway and kitchen. Home aid said she will clean up mess but didn’t have cleaning supplies at this house Nozzle and oil filter were good and system heats as it should Re sealed chimney after service
Tech dropped off two 24x24x1 filters, received no answer at door. Tech left the filters inside inside back porch screen door.
System is operating properly.
Customer did not extend at todays visit, stated he would like to call in at first of next month to extend. Tech thoroughly cleaned system, system is operating properly.
Tech found service disconnect for the air handler burnt and melted. System has 10kw heat strips with #8 gauge wire, 10kw needs at least #6 gauge wire to operate properly. Tech found the insulation on the high voltage wire melted, possibly overheating due to being undersized for the 10kw heat strips. Costumer approved replacing service disconnect and replacing #8 with #6 gauge wire. Costumer also invested in PSA yearly. Tech tested heat pump and AUX heat after repairs. System is heating properly at this time. Costumer requested paper copy of invoice and ESA form.
Unit is operating correctly at this time tech did find unit at 80 degrees homeowner had it set to 81 tech did find 20x20x1 Filter extremely clogged and needing changing tech left 2 filter informed customer to change filters every 30 days filter restriction to coil is what caused customer to have to turn up thermostat to achieve his heat preferences spoke with office approved to bill
Tech found unit was low on refrigerant 2-3lbs low tech informed customer if unit is low on refrigerant that indicates there is a leak tech quoted out $123.75 regular $105.19 sea per lb tech also quoted level 1 leak search at $101.25 regular $86.06 sea customer stated she will wait till get closer to summer to perform repairs

Tech found bacterial buildup in pan causing overflow in system is draining properly at this time. Tech checked dehumidifiers and checked good. Tech replaced loose screws and gave homeowner 16x25x1 and 20x25x1. System is operating properly at this time.
Upon inspection, the heat pump and heat strips were running, but the indoor fan was not. The motor was extremely hot to the touch and would not spin freely. The 15uF blower run capacitor was reading 15uF. Tech diagnosed failed blower motor and quoted $793.82 to replace. Tech recommended receiving an estimate to replace the system due to its age, condition and necessary repair costs. Customer declined repair at this time and would like an estimate to replace downstairs packaged heat pump and upstairs heat pump split system. Tech left the system off at the main breaker panel. Premium customer. No charge for house call/diagnostic fee.
Tech found compressor contactor be dark and pitted tech recommended homeowner will keep it on mind. Tech also found part or coil deteriorated tech recommended comfort consultant homeowner said he hasn’t had any issues but if he does he will call us. System is operating properly at this time.
Tech returned to replace 824 thermostat previously found was failing tech collected for todays visit customer paid with card
Tech returned to replace condenser fan motor upon arrival tech did find dip switch’s were not in the correct order for defrost cycle tech adjusted dip switch’s to operate every 90 mins tech found amp draws or motor in the .99-1.01 range within specs tech forced defrost unit did take time to go into defrost defrost did engage unit is operating correctly at this time
