Jackson and Son specializes in professional, 100% guaranteed residential and commercial heating and air conditioning installation, maintenance tune-ups and repair services.
Your HVAC system, regardless of its kind, should be examined, cleaned, and serviced at minimum twice yearly. The heating system should be examined in the fall and the air conditioning system in the spring. Gas equipment should be cleaned and maintained once a year, at the start of each autumn.
The cost of replacing a whole HVAC unit ranges from $5,000 to $10,000, with a national average of $7,000. Prices are determined by the size and brand of the HVAC system, the total square footage of the dwelling, the length of the ductwork, and the efficiency rating of the new unit. Expect to pay between $1,500 to $12,500 for new installations. HVAC installation expenses generally range between $500 and $2,500 in labor costs. The entire cost is determined by the kind and state of the existing system. Retrofitting forced or central-air heating often costs more than replacing existing equipment.
A typical HVAC tune-up will consist of three fundamental stages: inspection, cleaning and servicing. Repairs may or may not be included in the service, depending on whether or not problems are discovered in the inspection.
The inspection phase is when the technician looks for signs of damage. In the instance of an air conditioner, they will inspect the drain pan, check refrigerant levels, and inspect other components. In the case of a heater, they will inspect the compressor, the motor, and any other components to verify they are in excellent working order.
The cleaning phase of the air conditioner should be included in every tune-up that includes the air conditioning system, furnace, or both. Even if you change the air filter on a regular basis, the expert will need to clean your system to keep it in good shape.
The HVAC service phase seeks to prevent your HVAC from any unforeseen and inconvenient breakdowns. If there are any issues with your air conditioning or heating system, our expert will fix them right away. This may entail changing old parts to prevent them from causing more damage.

Unit was heating upon arrival. Customer stated that it would no light the day before. He cycled on and off at the thermostat multiple times before it would light. Tech cycled burners a couple times and noticed the last burner had a slight delay. Tech measured manifold pressure, removed burners for inspection, flame sensor and the igniter were inspected. Tested after inspection and burners lit the first time, the second try the burners lit and went out very quickly, then relit just fine.

Performed an inspection on 6 heat pumps, 2 Gas package units, 2 AC systems, changed filters, cleared drain traps, checked capacitors, motor amps, heat strips, T-stats. Found #9 condenser off- no refrigerant R -22. Furnace #5 XENON will not heat, induced fan and blower and hot igniter is good, pressure switch may be bad or not enough air is moving through exchanger.
Ronnie P.
Tech performed ESA on 2 systems. Tech found no challenges with split system air handler but did find drain line not insulated for most of the line. Tech recommended and quoted primary drain line insulation and informed homeowner of possible bad outcomes if not insulated. Tech found Trane package system capacitors testing weak, fan at 5.43 rated for 7.5 +- 10% and blower rated for 15 +- 10% reading at 12.4. Compressor tested at 41.02 so within specs (45+-10%) but lower end of threshold. Customer declined replacement of capacitors. Tech left estimates for replacing. Tech unable to get off compressor compartment door due to gas line being right beside door, appears a technician in the past struggled to get door off and bent door in attempt to get off. Tech found no other challenges or concerns with system/operations. Crawlspace dry in good condition. Both systems are operating properly upon departure.

Mini split is voided R410a refrigerant. Found a leak at the flare fitting on the condenser. Tech would need to re do the flares at the condenser to properly restore the seal. Flares were made, pressure tested to 325psi, pulled vacuum below 500 microns, and charged system with 1.14oz of R410a refrigerant. System is back up and heating. Repairs approved by Rick. Serial #: 28C13257
Romario T.
252-559-9530 Rick. System is low on R410a refrigerant, Found a leak at the flare fitting on the condenser, video capture is on file. Leak search was approved by Rick. Tech provided an estimate to Rick and approved to schedule to repair the leak, Serial #: 28C13257 mini split condenser, room 332. System is left pressurized and with the remaining R410a left in the system. Service disconnect is off. Estimate quote of #929.47 plus tax.

Tech performed maintenance per service agreement. Tech found 40 mfd capacitor testing weak on fan and compressor side. Homeowner will replace next visit before warranty expires if it lasts. Tech left homeowner one 20x25x1 filter. Homeowner renewed 1 system PSA at 308.51 via check. System is operating properly at this time.
Brett S.
Tech performed maintenance per service agreement. Tech informed home Of capacitor testing high but not over threshold yet. Homeowner replaces their own filters. System is operating properly at this time.
Michael H.
Customer stated that unit makes hissing noise when it cycles off. Tech inspected system. Found air filter in air handler since install, due to filter door being siliconed shut. Filter was removed, evaporator coil is in good condition. Tech found one wire burnt off and one melted at the strip heaters. Customer approved repairing wiring. Tech tested the operation of the zoning, dampers opened and closed correctly. Tech did find that the high limit was set to 180 degrees, this allowed the strip heat to cycle in and stay on till temperature at thermostat was met. This could have contributed to the damage to the wiring at the heaters. Limit was set to 125 degrees and the strip cycled off at 120 and back on at 105. The condenser coil has a lot of dust and debris buildup and needs cleaning. Recommend service agreement and 1 visit to get system cleaned. Customer invested in a MPA and paid for first visit on 11/18 @ 8am.
Romario T.
Brickcity35@yahoo.com Replaced 25 feet of 12 inch flex, tech hanged the flex duct as high as possible. Tech spoke with the costumer about ESA and decided to invest into MPA (monthly premium agreement).
