-Performed CMA Inspection on 11 split system heat pumps. Verified operation of oven hood exhaust fan and make up air. -System 6: Observed heat strip contactor stuck when calling. Observed heavy discoloration on contactor winding. Observed arcing when engaging. Recommend replacement of contactor. 2 pole 40 A. Provided estimate $300.05. Disconnected heat strips to maintain safe operation of air handler. -System 8: Heat strips had been disconnected by others prior to first service. -System 9: Heat pump condenser not operational and has been left off at outdoor disconnect at prior service. System was recommended to have thermostat wire replaced due to short on compressor circuit. System currently operating heat via heat strips. -Summary: All systems operating at this time. System 9 operating on emergency heat only and will not cool until thermostat wiring replaced and system further inspected. Recommend repair to System 6 heat strip contactor. -Add insulation to primary drain line on air handlers 2-11. Approximately 45’ per unit. Per prior approval. -Replace outdoor fan capacitor on 3 condenser units. Per prior approval. -HP-1 compressor capacitor not replaced due to non operation of system.

Performed cma full service on 11 split systems. Performed inspection of oven hood exhaust fan and make up air. Found attic condensate drain lines not insulated on all air handlers. Estimate for installation of 45’ insulation $690.59 each unit. Recommend addition of auxiliary pan drain line on air handlers 6, 7, 8. Actual time and materials to be billed if approved. System 1 Compressor shorted to ground. Compressor immediately causes circuit breaker to trip. Unable to remove wires from compressor to further test. Compressor side of dual run capacitor tested high. Provided estimate for replacement of compressor capacitor $222.78. Due to age and issues with unit, recommend replacement of condensing unit.
