Tech found condensing unit not running due to the defrost control being locked out. Inspection found the dual run capacitor faulty causing the condenser fan to stop working. This resulted in the defrost control locking out on safety. Seller approved repair and paid by phone. System is back up and running.

Tech performed maintenance per energy savings agreement. System is not heating and cooling properly at this time due to leaking evaporator coil. During inspection tech also found compressor mega ohmed in the red and condensate drain system needs to be updated. Tech set up mandatory through office. Evaporator coil $4207 plus tax and will take about 20 days to come in.

Upon arrival tech found breaker tripped to condensing unit on downstairs system. Tech flipped on breaker and it immediately cut off. Tech proceeded to unit to ohm out compressor and found compressor shorted to ground. Tech was going to leak check evaporator coil and customer requested tech not to check it because he was going to replace anyways. Tech called Bryce and set up mandatory. Downstairs system is down at this time.

Removed faulty ignition control board and installed new ignition control board in furnace. Tested new board. System operating properly.

Tech found blower motor not operating during a heat or cool call. Costumer has a dual fuel carrier split system. Tech found no line voltage going into the speed tap at the relay connection of the board. Tech straight wired line voltage of the motor to verify that the blower motor is not the challenge. Blower motor operated without challenges when it was straight wired. Tech found a bad board (located at the airhandler) not sending line voltage out to the blower motor to operate. Pictures of board on service Titan. Tech contacted hwa warranty and requested a copy of the invoice to be sent to them. Costumer paid for house call and invested for PSA yearly. Need to contact Hwa warranty, would need to get quote for the control/ignition board replacement before approving repairs and pay for it as well. System is down as of now, need office to get a quote asap and/or to go ahead and order The board. Picture of the board located in the furnace is on file. Hwa would need a copy of this invoice

Customer reported downstairs system still has dirty sock syndrome. Customer notices it most in the bathroom. Reported it smelling like gym socks or vomit. Tech could not smell a strong odor. Tech did smell a slight mustiness. Tech inspected air handler and duct system in crawl space. Plasma wave air cleaner is installed and powered correctly and appears to be functioning properly. Ductwork in crawl does not look as new as downstairs split system. Some substance growth can be seen on insulation liner inside supply plenum. Blower and coil look fairly clean. Tech gave customer the options of cleaning indoor coil again $183.74, installing UV light and media filter $1127.57, applying EXODOR treatment $137 plus tax, replacing older duct system, or getting quote on treated indoor coil. Caleb quoted customer duct system price over the phone. Customer declined all options. No housecall on premium agreement.
