Tenant reported that system was noticeably not cooling at all the other day. System was running in heat mode on arrival today due to outdoor temperature being 51 degrees. Tech called for cooling at both thermostats and outdoor unit energized without issue. Defrost board was not in lockout. Tech noticed compressor is running very loudly similar to last visit. Notated noise last visit also. Tech uploaded video of compressor noise from today. Allowed system to run for ten minutes in cooling mode. Superheat looks high, but cooling mode pressures are artificially low due to cold temperature outside. Covered fan outlet with sheet metal to drive up head pressure and allowed it to restabilize. Recorded pressures with fan outlet blocked. Switched to heating mode and allowed system to stabilize. Design subcooling in heat mode is 18 degrees. Heat mode subcooling today is measured at 29 degrees. Heating pressures today are 480/120. 50 degree outdoor temperature design pressures are 106/342. Te

Tech found outdoor unit not running due to outdoor disconnect off (in the upside down position). Tech called for cooling upstairs and downstairs and found 45/5uf dual run capacitor has failed. Tech replaced dual run capacitor for testing. Zone system components are in upstairs closet. Bypass damper was set on middle static pressure setting (factory default) and remained closed even when only one zone was calling. Tech adjusted damper setting lower to ensure damper is fully closed when one zone is calling and partially open when only one zone is calling. Tech monitored system in cooling mode with both zones calling and only one zone calling. System stabilized in cooling mode. Compressor is making an odd pulsing/rumbling noise. Compressor is not overamping, refrigerant pressures look normal, and compressor windings Meg ohmed in the green. System is back cooling although compressor is noisy. Tech replaced dual run capacitor, adjusted bypass damper, and customer invested in PSA. Cust
