Sold 2 ton Carrier split system.

Tech found upstairs system not cooling, after inspection tech found dead dual run capacitor. Tech replaced for testing purposes system is also very low on r22 with a leak in condenser coil. Field supervisor coming out to verify customer is replacing system.

Upstairs system- tech found dead dual run capacitor not allowing compressor to start. Tech replaced with warranty capacitor system is back up and cooling at this time. Downstairs- customer stated system has been struggling to keep up tech found system iced over, standing pressures were 80 tech suspects system is low on refrigerant. Customer didn’t want to pay de icing fee and will call us out in a couple days to return and diagnose.

12 YEAR OLD OUT OF WARRANTY SYSTEM FOUND LOW ON CHARGE. LOCATED LEAK WITHIN EVAPORATOR COIL. ~$4300 PLUS TAX WITH PSA MAINTENANCE PLAN ADDED FOR COIL REPLACEMENT. (1) COIL AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRY. COSTLY REPAIRS NOT RECOMMENDED. CUSTOMER WILL CALL IF A DECISION IS MADE. RECOMMEND FULL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT VS REPAIRS.

Tech performed ESA on 1 system. Split system- tech serviced and cleaned system, found tape at base of supply connecting to air handler came lose tech fixed no further challenges at this time.

Tech performed ESA on 1 system. Split system- tech cleaned and serviced system, found bacteria/mold growth in air handler tech recommended plasma air purifier to prevent growth in whole house. Customer stated he wants to talk to wife, no further challenges at this time.

Upon arrival tech found pressure switch fault at gas pack. Tech found no challenges with switch or hose. Tech found wire loose inside of connector at pressure switch. Tech replaced connector and reset system, system lit. Tech cycled system to assure proper operation and found limit switch open upon second startup attempt. Tech adjusted gas pressures and fan speed, cycled system again and found no further challenges. System is heating. Install warranty.

Emailed proposal to replace system.

Performed ESA, tech recommended a hard start kit to improve the life of the compressor. Coil has signs of rust and corrosion but found no leaks. Informed homeowner of all finings at todays visit.

FOUND UPSTAIRS THERMOSTAT SENDING FAULTY CALL FOR AUXILIARY HEAT DURING COOLING OPERATION. INSTALLED (2) FP5000 THERMOSTATS. CYCLED BOTH SYSTEMS WITH NO FURTHER CHALLENGES. INVESTED IN ESA (2) SYSTEMS.

Emailed proposal to customers son, he is going to speak with his father and contact us back.

FOUND 21 YEAR OLD SYSTEM LOW ON R22 CHARGE. LOCATED PINHOLE LEAKS WITHIN BOTTOM OF EXTREMELY RUSTED EVAPORATOR COILS. FURTHER INSPECTED AND FOUND HUGE CRACKS WITHIN RUSTED HEAT EXCHANGER. HANDED OVER TO FIELD SUPERVISOR.

Performed ESA, homeowner was not home at the time of maintenance. Could not get in contact. Tech found a leak inside evaporator coil. Video and pictures are uploaded. Homeowner needs to be aware of leak due to the importance of issue. Could not get renewal.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found duct work starting to deteriorate due to age tech found no other challenges at this time. Customer renewed ESA 1 system.

Tech performed ESA on 1 system found no challenges at today’s system operating properly at this time, tech explained all plans to customer renewed ESA 1 year 2 visits.

Performed routine maintenance per energy savings agreement. Technician did not find any challenges while servicing equipment today. System is operating properly at this time. Customer did not want tech to run system in Cool mode, only heat. System is heating properly, delta t for cooling unable to be obtained. Uv bulb and media filters were swapped out last trip. Bulb is still functioning properly and filters look good.

Repair the low pressure switch wire that is burnt off. Tech jumped out the thermostat wires for cooling and system operated. Homeowner was not home during the repair. Costumer pre-approved today’s repairs.

Unit still under warranty 6 years old and customer is selling house. Service department is emailing quote for coil replacement

FOUND EVAPORATOR COILS FROZEN UPON ARRIVAL DUE TO EXTREMELY LOW REFRIGERANT CHARGE. PICKED UP LEAK WITHIN EVAPORATOR COIL. OILY SUBSTANCE WITHIN COMPRESSOR COMPARTMENT AS WELL, BUT UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY LEAKS. COMPRESSOR RATTLING AS WELL MAY BE DAMAGED DUE TO RUNNING STARVED OF REFRIGERANT. OUT OF WARRANTY SYSTEM. HANDED OVER TO FIELD SUPERVISOR. COLLECTED VIA PHONE.
