910-520-8610 Back system. Replaced a leaking indoor evaporator coil under manufacturer warranty.. brazed in the new coil and filter dryer while flowing nitrogen, pressure tested the system, pulled a vacuum below 500 microns and factory charged the system with R410a refrigerant. Tested system is cool mode afterwards. System is back cooling. Tech spoke with the homeowners over the phone and received approval for billing out for today’s repairs.

Tech returned to perform leak search on system, tech found signs of oil in drain pan but did not pick up any leaks. Tech tested equipment and found leak detector not working properly, will need to return to verify leak, tech informed customer.

Tech performed leak search but leak detector had gotten wet earlier tech suspects leak detector is not operating properly will need to reschedule with other leak detector.

Tech serviced and cleaned units per service agreement, upon arrival tech found second system contacter and 45 mfd capacitor bad, tech replaced capacitor and senior technician is coming to replace contacter customer approved repairs, first system is back up and running with a delta to of 19 degrees, second system was running and cooling with a delta t of 18 degrees, tech found no other challenges at this time.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found insulation on refrigerant lines to be deteriorated and falling apart tech recommended replacement customer approved tech also found primary pan to be full of water tech cleared pan and cut and cleared drain line unit is back draining properly at this time. Evap coil wasted rusted but no leaks at this time. Tech could no access crawl space due to vinyl under pending not have an access door. Unit is up and cooling with a delta t of 23. Customer scheduled plumbing call for sept 12th.

Performed CMA inspection on 1 package heat pump. Upon arrival, technician observed the thermostat not satisfied. Upon further inspection tech found the filter severely clogged and the entry door slightly cracked open. After closing the door and changing the filter, the delta t improved to around 17-18 degrees. Challenge - previous notes show the compressor Megohm test to be RED. Technician tested again today and the reading stayed in the red zone for a few seconds and eventually settled down in between BAD and CAUTION. This is an indication that the compressor windings are still wearing down and due for failure. Tech notified field supervisors office for a follow up.

Tech replaced faulty indoor TXV. Had to retrofit due to the different size of copper pipe and TXV orientation. After vacuum was complete, tech reinserted valve core and found it was leaking. Replaced valve core and leak appears to have stopped. Charged 6lbs 14oz 410A. System is operating normally at Hutchison time.

- Tech arrived to confirm diagnosis from previous tech. - Tech found system displaying same behavior as before. Ran system through several cycles of heat/cool through thermostat to confirm which TXV was failing. Pressure exceeded 675PSIG discharge and began short-cycling until failing due to soft lockout. Tech diagnoses faulty indoor mechanical TXV. Customer approved estimate to replace TXV.

Tech was informed upon arrival that this system belongs to a relative of the customer who called for this repair, and that all part replacements and service agreements will be decided by the relative at a future date. Tech found a tripped 100A breaker in sub panel. Tech discovered a shorted 240V line from compressor contactor to heat kit contactor due to the wire being sandwiched between blower door and internal metal bracket. Repaired wire short and continued examining the system. Tech found weak capacitor 9MFD out of range for Com-Herm and 2MFD from Com-Fan/Herm-Fan. Also observed partially broken thermostat with missing base plate and battery compartment. Advised customer of all these issues and provided estimates for repair. Customer will forward these estimates to their relative for approval. System is operating normally at this time.

-Customer states system blows air but outside compressor not running. -Found low voltage call on thermostat wire at condenser but compressor contactor not engaged. Unit has a flash code fault of 4 flashes (hard lockout). Recommend system operation check to identify any challenges that may have caused lockout. Customer approved system performance check. -Found pressures below expected. Suction pressure very low, indicating system has problems with refrigeration cycle. System goes into soft lockout when operating, after repeated lockouts systems goes into hard lockout. Confirmed no blockages in air flow. Checked condition of air filter, evaporator coil, and operation of blower motor. -Added 1 lb of refrigerant per customer approval for testing purposes. Found high head pressure. Anticipate bad TXV. Recommend office dispatch follow up for second opinion/verification. -Customer requests Monthly Premium Maintenance Plan.

REPLACED THERMOSTAT, PROGRAMMED, AND CYCLED COOLING. 20A FUSE BLOWING WITH COOLING CALL. FOUND BOTH (3) POLE CONTACTORS SHORTED, AS WELL AS 1 OF 2 CONDENSER FAN MOTORS. REPLACED BOTH CONTACTORS. JERRY WILL CALL WITH PRICING OF CONDENSER FAN MOTOR REPLACEMENT. WILL NEED TO RETURN WITH MOTOR AND 20A FUSE AFTER APPROVAL. SPOKE WITH MRS. HUBBARD REGARDING TODAYS FINDINGS. HANDED OVER RTU #2 TO FIELD SUPERVISOR. CIRCUIT #1 PRESSURES ARE LOW DUE TO LEAK IN EVAPORATOR COIL PER PREVIOUS DOCUMENT. FIELD SUPERVISOR WAS NEVER NOTIFIED PREVIOUSLY ACCORDING TO MRS. HUBBARD.
